I had the great pleasure of writing orchestral arrangements for Romanian singer and television presenter Florin Ristei’s band “Freestay” for their performance at the Palace Hall in Bucharest. It was an exciting project that challenged me to bring out the best in their music and create arrangements that would complement their sound. I’m proud to have had the opportunity to work with such talented musicians and be a part of their incredible performance.
Writing the orchestral arrangements was a complex process that required careful consideration of the band’s original music. I had to ensure that the orchestra complemented the band’s sound and added to the overall musical experience, without overwhelming or detracting from the original arrangements. Despite the challenges, I was able to create arrangements that we were all proud of.
The performance itself was a truly unforgettable one. The Palace Hall was filled with enthusiastic fans, and the energy in the room was electric. When the orchestra started playing, the sound was incredible. It was amazing to see and hear the music that I had arranged come to life on stage, and to see the audience’s reactions.
Working with Florin Ristei and Freestay was an incredible experience- he truly is a top class musician and an outstanding collaborator. I feel extremely fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with such talented artists and to have been a part of such an amazing performance.
